Loneliness

Loneliness is a rainy night
Light gleaming from the puddles
On the tidy and bare street
Haven’t colours entered our lives …
Loneliness leaves a bitter taste
In the mouth, in the mind
It makes you feel that
It’s spicier if you are a foreigner
Loneliness knows a lot of songs
All so belong to you,
All you want to share so much
And you know no one will understand
You had known loneliness
But now it’s harder to deal with
Can’t visit your sister for some tea
Or join your parents’ weekend arguments
Loneliness is a black and white picture
Blues dances yearning
