Rolling off a log A compulsive balancer — Not an easy task

A common saying, I know. As easy as rolling off a log, they say.

Image: largish log floating in the water, very round all around, seventy or so percent submerged; well, you up and try to stand on it, try to balance upon it and you will soon find yourself very wet and, if unlucky, possibly hurt.

Not so the compulsive balancer who cannot help but be inhumanly good at maintaining his or her balance on any surface, logs floating in water included.

To him, or her, then, the saying does not apply.

And now, fruit of a baker’s minute of your attention, you’re the proud possessor of one of the more useless pieces of information around.

And not only that, I’m not even sure that’s true.
