Living with nature
Everyday we walk past mother nature’s fierce displays of resilience. Not just surviving in unforgiving terrain but thriving with beauty and grace.

Some days it feels like we live in an unforgiving urban jungle, particularly in summer with the urban heat island effect that is a growing part of our modern cities, stretching our senses to breaking point.
Fortunately, modern society is just a veneer on the surface of the earth, we are the thinnest of layers, a terrestrial epidermis. A beneficent nature is all around us and even within us.
Nature is present in the tree emerging from beneath the concrete, striving with all its branches, up towards the sky.

Nature is the glow of the heavens that shines down upon our grotty urban structures.

Nature is the lushness of tiny plants that have the temerity to persevere through the cracks of our human-made epidermis.

Nature is that creeping growth spreading out across our sacred structures, coming from nowhere but clearly belonging right here, in this place.

Nature. Ever present, ever persevering, ever healing. Nature is there whenever we need, wherever we are, wherever we look.

Even if we don’t.
