Living On An Island

Living on an island Connected but becoming disconnected Your perception is reality What was once true is no longer

Surrounded by the seas of falsehoods The tide of truth has gone out So many bridges lost The last ones in disrepair

Living on an island So few are the ones to survive Many washed away in the waves of lies Survivors struggle against the tides

Waiting patiently to repair the bridge Tides come and go Hope is on the horizon After all, truth never dies

Living on an island Truth struggles to survive Watched over by its caretakers Protecting what is left

Never know what might arrive on the next tide Seeds of truth breaching the gap Nurturing the seedlings about to sprout The island may yet survive
