Living In Fear

An Anti-War Poem

Living in this world engulfed with fear

Just been a few days since the lockdowns

Not been a promising start to the year

I was not ready for new knockdowns

When I try to drive, the fuel is so expensive

When I see the television, all I hear is war

Wherever I look around, the faces look so pensive

I cannot understand what they are fighting for

Each one has their interests, stories and their side

An eye for an eye makes the world go blind

If only people were able to let go of their pride

Why cannot we all be a little bit more kind
