Summary

The web content presents a reflective poem that contemplates the improbability and audacity of life's existence on Earth, the human condition, and the importance of living in the moment amidst life's complexities.

Abstract

The poem "Living" explores the extraordinary nature of life on Earth, suggesting it could be the result of divine intervention, alien involvement, or a natural experiment. It acknowledges the evolution from simple organisms to complex life forms, with humans eventually rising to prominence but finding themselves caught between challenges. The author emphasizes the rarity and preciousness of life, the duality of experiences that include both joy and sorrow, and the cyclical nature of life and death. The poem encourages readers to embrace the present and make the most of their time, despite existing between a rock and a hard place. It is a response to the 'Paper Poetry Prompt#3', which combined themes of chance and adversity, and the author thanks participants for engaging with the prompt.

Paper Poetry Prompt#3

The illustration was created by the author, words are written by the author, and of course, the audacity of drawing something was initiated by the author too.

on an unimaginable audacity and unbelievable probability a grain in the MilkyWay, the earth fueled with life somehow a chance, a divine intervention, an alien conspiracy or laboratory experiment, we somehow pushed and evolved from numerous dead things and stardusts to unicellular living into multicellular species.

And, humans, the magnificent mighty conquered eventually but somehow trapped between a rock and a hard place difficult to elaborate but easy to experience.

Life is rare; living is a blessing- sometimes it feels like the more we gather, the more we experience the pleasure of learning the joy of exploring but also the sorrows, pain and complexities around.

Against all odds, life thrives in the end, dead nourishes the soil and make a place for the living, the cycle goes on and on, in between let’s rock the place sensibly till we last, let’s roll the dice into living the moment, right now.

In response to the ‘Paper Poetry Prompt#3’, combining the themes of ‘roll the dice’ and ‘between a rock and a hard place’. Once again, thank you all who could participate into the prompt.
