Live a Great Story
Not your grandma’s bumper sticker wisdom
Who would think a bumper sticker would inspire a Medium post? Bumper stickers serve a purpose to the car owner, I suppose. They apparently have a point to make. Why else would the owner advertise their personal views for all road riders to see?
Recently, I saw a bumper sticker that said, “Live a Great Story” and I loved it! I snatched up my cellphone at the next stop light and typed it into my notes. Don’t judge me. For real, I could totally forget it by the time I got home.
I’m not sure I’m an expert on living a great story. I like my story, don’t get me wrong. It has twists, turns, mistakes, and embarrassing moments. Too many of the latter! But it made me wonder what great minds over centuries had to say about the topic. So I’ve assembled some quotes to quench your appetite for inspiration. You’re here, aren’t you? So, you must be seeking inspiration.
I have taken some liberties to group the quotations in a few broad categories. Be inspired!
