How to connect with the Medium writer community through Facebook groups

Many Medium writers, especially if they are new, feel alone throughout the daunting process of trying to make it as a writer. Luckily, there are a number of resources that can help connect you with other writers.
One of the best ways to both connect with other writers and promote your articles is to join a Medium writer Facebook group. In fact, there are several you can join.
Below is a list of some of the top Medium writer Facebook Groups. Some are open, some are closed, but all of these groups have been welcoming of new members, in my experience.
1. Medium Writing

Medium Writing is a group I created after several of the existing Medium Facebook groups began allowing personal attacks against writers, while also arbitrarily censoring the articles of others. All Medium Partner Program writers are welcome here!
We have a daily share thread allowing for article promotion, monthly earnings report discussions, we answer questions of new Medium writers, and facilitate general discussion about Medium.
Our main rule is avoid personal attacks (stay on topic discussing Medium/writing) and to make sure you post content in the appropriate thread. Spamming is not allowed. All Medium article links must be posted in the daily share thread. This helps ensure that questions, comments, and general discussion are not suppressed by users spamming their content.
From the group description:
This group was created so that Medium writers could share their articles and discuss making money as a writer on Medium. For Medium writing tips, please subscribe to our Weekly Newsletter → http://eepurl.com/gC-qhj.

- Note: Due to a number of requests and subsequent investigation, I can no longer, in good conscience, recommend this Facebook group to new writers. Medium Partner Program Friends and its owner (now banned) appear to have violated numerous rules and mislead Medium members. Unless the group demonstrates extraordinary change, it will not be re-added to this list.
