List of Acceptable, Non-irritating Words I May Use in a Story

To avoid making people mad at me, here goes my list of OK words…

Hello, goodbye, nice.

Well, good, bad.

Any foreign-sounding word like bon mot or sine qua non.

Actual foreign words like bon mot and sine qua non.

Names of colors that are less understood like “puce” or “mauve.”

Words that make no commitment like “kinda” or “seems.”

Filler words like “you know” or “whatever.”

Words that are neither elevated nor depressed, but horizontal, but not using the word “horizontal.”

The format to use is the shortform format allowing completion of a story at minimum risk of bad word usage.

In fact, it seems I have already irritated a few real estate agents by using a difficult word like “list” in the title.

For now, thank you for your time. (my profileTwitter)
