The Moment
water dropped on the keyboard, of my laptop — new Schitt has happened now
The Reflection
Good thing It didn’t damage much — I Think.
I ran a diagnostic just in case, everything seems fine besides the trackpad and the keyboard. The trackpad was useless, to begin with. But I am more saddened about the keyboard but I’ve got a replacement now for it.
But still, the hardware is causing problems. I removed the drivers and disabled both the trackpad and the keyboard. Bought another keyboard and mouse for the time being.
Other hardware seems to be working fine but I believe I still need to take it to repair service. Hopefully, it might be fixed. Fingers crossed. For now, I just have to try to run it as safely as I can.
The Lesson
- Never ever, I mean ever use any form of liquid, like drinking water, tea, Fanta, or coffee near your laptop or computing devices.
- Don’t just don’t do it if you have carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Whatever you do afterward, the damage is done. But it can be fixed.
