Like She Was Earlier

The Other, #104

I start to see the whole picture She is not the one she used to be She has let me walk For a long time without knowing When I ask why — there’s no answer When we finally talk on the phone She talks as if everything is like before Says yes, she wants to meet me

She speaks, but those are only words She’s gone for me The pressure at home has perhaps become smaller Or difficult things have happened on the home ground Maybe the relationship between them Has become more to live with And she feels that it’s a bit too tiring To stand up for a lover who wants her like she was earlier
