But the current climate makes me wonder about the viability of Medium as a platform for open and honest discussions. Where is Illumination?

I became a member of Medium in 2019. In late March I published a story about the need for widespread testing for SARS-COV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Shortly after I published the article, Dr. Mehmet Yildiz invited me to publish it on the publication, Illumination. I gladly did so. I am new to Medium, but Dr. Yildiz provided me with easy to follow, step-by-step procedures to follow to publish the story on Illumination. The Medium process for submitting articles for other publications is cumbersome and obtuse. I still do not understand how to get published on other publications, other than to wait passively.
