Lightning Strikes My Heart and Soul
A response to prompt emotions paint nature

Lightning cutting through the darkened sky edging closer as brontide rumbles become the tune of one hundred thousand snare drums beating a sonic shock wave shaking me to the core, buckling my knees, hair stands up on the back of my neck as the spine shivers;
my hands hasten to cover my ears as if it will make a difference.
This never fails to draw excitement from my soul, raw uncontrollable primordial energy we have no way of harnessing. I still have fear; it may just strike me in one of life’s freak accidents.
Reaching for the camera to get that one in a million perfect shot, the one I can publish, get a wee prize for, ah feck it, I will just take a lower quality movie, pick a still and submit it here.
