A poem dedicated to an amazing person

Meeting you through words, An experience I didn’t expect, For your kindness was now heard, Your compassion in full effect.

Your encouragement is grand, I am seen — For all I am — Unable to longer hide my voice — Was far from the plan, But thanks to you — I now know, To speak — To write, Is the one true choice — I can, I CAN.

You see, I had to take the time, To acknowledge your generous shine, Because your friendship is God’s blessing — Divine.

This gratitude arrives in calm — So THANK YOU Lighting Gayle, Straight from my pen and palm.
