Life Looks Good on Us
April Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Graffiti & Street Art”
Stifling death with a life jacket.
My friend Bryn and I made a quick bathroom stop at the beginning of our run this week and noticed this beautiful mural beautifying the walls. We run on the 32-mile Jedediah Smith Memorial multi-use trail along the American River Parkway a few times a week, and this is the only mural on the side of a bathroom, but maybe more will follow.
Knowing this month’s challenge, I quickly took a picture, noticing the green, blue colors contrasted by the yellow rafts.
I love the simple, yet philosophical message of this mural, for it makes me think of multiple ways that we can stifle death: life jackets, seat belts, helmets, antibiotics, and probably the most important and relevant one, the Covid vaccine.
Either way, we need to be mindful of life and how good it looks on us!
Thank you for the great April story prompt.
