Life lessons from a Forest to YOU!

Living in a forest means you build a relationship with trees that grow next to you.
Sometimes I think that you can’t get better neighbors than the 35m high Spruce that stands in front of our house. He is already over 100 years for sure, but age is not a problem for him and his colleagues to guard the entrance to his family doors — a living organism, a forest.
I spend a lot of time there. Meditating, Thinking and breathing. Over the years I learned a lot about the ecosystem of a forest, from the biology all up to the psychology and society between trees. And believe me
A Forest is a living organism like You and Me.
Not only is the place alive, but there is a lot you can learn from this place. You just have to listen and watch. Here are some of the life lessons I observed
1. Strong roots are core for life.
It’s something that we all understand but not sure how to use it. I was searching for the right correlation in life, and found this Article today on Medium from /\/\@X:
It just proved the point that If your principles are at the core of your life, then you can’t fall down.
2. Grow slowly.
It took more than 100 years to grow 35m for my friend. That’s 3,5cm per year! Certain plants can grow in 1h, but if you want to live for 100 years.
Growth is a craft. No need to rush.

3. Protect others.
Not many people know this, but the forest is family. The Entrance is protected by the highest and strongest trees. They have the strongest roots, are massively built and inextricably interwoven below the surface.
They take the first hit when a storm or hurricane wind approaches. They make sure the border is safe, so that the smaller trees can survive.
4. Recover from failure.
Sure there are trees or even forests that die. Time is taking the hit, diseases step in, or humans decide to use it to build a house or for fire to keep the house warm. This is natural, just like our life, but that doesn’t mean that the forest will vanish. Each Tree has a memory built in.

Trees can rebuild a forest by themselves. We just have to leave them, and watch.
I owe the forest. I also purchased land to grow a forest. We want to plant 2500 trees in the next 2 years. Keep up as I will publish the whole process here.
