3 Lessons We Are All Learning Right Now

During this worldwide situation, we have all been put in a self development class. Life has signed us up to learn some things. We may be ready to join in on this course, or we may not be. However, we are here to learn and there are some powerful lessons to learn if we are willing to listen to life.

When you stop to ponder this amazing life, there are very few things that we truly know for sure. We have all had lots of experiences but there are so many unknowns. I actually think that this is a tremendous gift. It means we can all assign the meanings for life that work best for us.

What if life were really your best friend? What if life had only your best interests at heart? What if life sometimes needs to send you challenges and obstacles so that you learn what you came here to learn? This is my particular view on the world. We will be brought, time and again to the same point to learn the same lesson if we haven’t learned it yet.

Here are some ways I believe life is always here for us if we are willing to sit with life, to truly listen in on what life and the planet is trying to tell us right now.

Sit with yourself, feel your feelings, understand your true self:

Life has given us a time out. This is not a negative thing. This time is mean to be used to get to know our true, core, selves, our true calling, our true feelings and how you may serve others in your own unique and beautiful way. We are being called to slow down. We are being called to be in this moment right now. We are being called to stop covering up our feelings with drinking, shopping, social media addiction and more. We are truly being called to feel. To feel right to the core of our being. To actually be with ourselves without entertainment, without rushing around trying to do a million things, to just sit. Not sit and listen to a podcast, not sit and watch a show, not sit and read a book. Just sit, in a chair, in your home, or in the sunshine. Close your eyes, feel the warmth of the sun. How do you feel? Who are you? What is your core purpose here? Sitting with ourselves can be very uncomfortable, but we are being called to do it. We are being called to become who we truly are.

Truly treasure what amazing abundance you have right now:

Many shops are closed. Even ordering online or ordering things for delivery takes time. We are being called to be patient. We are being called to truly appreciate what we have now. Look at the abundance around you. Notice what truly matters. There is plenty for everyone. There is no need to fear. There is enough for us to give to others. We truly have so much. I especially treasure the abundance of love in our home. This is more valuable than things that I can purchase. I am so grateful for the abundance of time that I have right now with my husband and my son. We get to live together, enjoy meals together, work together, study together, laugh together, even more than before. We spend more time enjoying each other’s company. That is the greatest abundance of all. This is what I choose to focus on.

Ground yourself in nature, learn about the earth, take care of it:

What an amazing opportunity life has given us to truly value and appreciate nature again! Last year I had started to appreciate and take care of our garden. However, now I am taking daily care of it. I am noticing how plants are growing and changing each day. I notice the glorious buds and blooms in the sunshine and in the rain. I am learning how to compost again. I am learning to weed every day. I am learning to treasure all of the plants that will feed us later on. I am learning not to waste things like fruit and vegetable scraps that I can use to nourish the soil. We are being given way more than one earth day. The earth has called us because she needs to rest, to be reborn into a flourishing planet. This, in turn gives us the opportunity to nourish the planet as we nourish ourselves.

How have your noticed life is still there for you? How can you start to trust life? How are you feeling?

With lots of love,

Trista
