Life Is Short, and Will Be Over Soon Enough, but You Can Achieve Greatness Today
Be kind to all who cross your path 🔆

The first time I registered for college, I had to do it in person. I came up a dollar short.
It was late on the day of the deadline, and I didn’t have options. I panicked, and I’m sure my face and voice showed it.
“I’ll lend you a dollar,” the cashier said, fishing one out of her purse and laying it on the counter, “if you’ll pay me back on Monday.”
“You will?” I was shocked by her kindness. “Thank you!”
“You won’t forget me, will you?”
“I’ll never forget you!”
Whatever else you accomplish in life, you may make the most lasting impact on the most people by being kind.
You will fail at kindness sometimes. But you can try again.
🦆 Be kind to animals. They know that some people are kind, and will watch to see if you are.
⛺ Be kind to panhandlers. Whether or not you give them anything, wish them well in your mind.
🌏 Be kind to people who don’t speak English, who landed in your locale from somewhere far away and don’t know what they’re doing.
🚖 Be kind to service people — janitors, cleaning ladies, wait staff, fast food workers, and people selling on the street and in kiosks and stores. Be kind to bus drivers, cab drivers, and delivery people. If you can’t tip someone who hopes for a tip from you, at least be kind.
Ⓜ️ Be kind to other motorists, to people in the subway, train station, and airport, and to people waiting in line and riding in elevators.
👪 Be kind to children, teenagers, the middle-aged, and the old, regardless of their appearance or attitude.
👨💼 Do you have customers? Whether or not they’re in the right, be kind. Be kind to competitors. If you have teachers or students, be kind. Be kind to your bosses, subordinates, and peers.
😃 Remember to be kind to your friends — 😑 and to your enemies.
🏘️ Be kind to your spouse, your parents, your children, and your in-laws. Be kind to your brothers and sisters. That’s everyone.
💙 Be kind to yourself.
You can be great today.
