Life is Like a Cuppa Coffee

Savoured, mellowing with satisfaction at the end

That first cup of coffee allows time to savour a moment of peace.

Stillness before the day begins.

Today, it took me back to when I lived in New Zealand.

Each morning I woke to this view.

Those were times relished each morning.

Savouring the brew and the view.

Sipping my coffee, I saw a parallel to life.

The first sips were savoured, warming me up inside.

Getting me ready to tackle the day ahead.

As the cup began to get empty, the feeling of satisfaction grew.

Of having my fill with that brew.

Life is like that cup of coffee.

To be savoured at the start.

Mellowing through the middle.

With satisfaction at the end of a life well-lived.
