Life Is Just Like A Box of Chocolates

A Forest Gump story

I’m sure you remember the movie “Forest Gump” starring Tom Hanks. It won the Academy Award in 1995 for best picture. Hanks won best actor along with many other awards the academy gave for the film. This is my interpretation of what Forest Gump took from his mother’s advice…”You never know what you will get in a box of chocolates”.

Once upon a time, there was a young man named Forrest Gump. He was a simple man with a big heart and a love for chocolates. His mother always told him that “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.” Forrest took this advice to heart and applied it to his life.

One day, Forrest received a box of chocolates as a gift from his friend. He was excited to try them out, but he didn’t know what to expect. He opened the box and saw a variety of chocolates, each with a different filling. He picked one up and took a bite. It was delicious! He tried another one and it was even better. He kept trying different chocolates and was surprised by each one. Some were sweet, some were bitter, and some were nutty. He never knew what he was going to get, but he enjoyed every moment of it.

As he savored each chocolate, he realized that life was just like this box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get, but you have to take a chance and try it out. Sometimes life is sweet, sometimes it’s bitter, and sometimes it’s nutty. But you have to keep trying and enjoy every moment of it and, hope you never run out of chocolates.

Forrest learned that life was full of surprises, just like a box of chocolates. He never knew what was going to happen next, but he was excited to find out. He went on many adventures and met many people, each with their own unique story. And he always remembered his mother’s advice: “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.”
