Identify variables that might make a ripple effect in your life.

Purpose of the Story

I am inspired to write this story with a profound quote by French philosopher Jean-Paul Satre. This powerful quote, “Life Is C Between B And D,” encouraged me to focus on finding my magical C. We all are unique and may have different Cs in life.

As this quote resonates well with me, I always remind myself. I put it on the wall in my study room.

My lifestyle choices caused the most significant impact in transforming myself from a mediocre state to a heroic state. These choices were powerful because I embedded them in my behavior through habits.

I want to share five lifestyle choices that made a significant impact on my life. They established my C between B and D.

1 — A diet that suits my genetic makeup

I tried many diets based on what I learned from others. However, when I selected a diet matching my genetic predisposition, I observed a significant improvement in my health.

I was so close to being a diabetic because of my intolerance to carbohydrates.

Cutting carbs and replacing them with healthy fat as an energy source helped me prevent becoming a diabetic person.

I documented my experiences with dietary changes in these articles:

2 — A workout regime that matches my age profile

I used to imitate the workout regime of successful athletes. They looked impressive. I thought imitating their workout regime could make me look like them. It was a big mistake. They were younger than me and of course, had a different genetic profile.

As I got older, I changed my exercise and chose workouts that supported my body. For example, I used to do excessive cardio. It was not useful for my aging body. I needed more gentle and shorter cardio. When I discovered HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training), it was a game-changer for me.

I also introduced more resistance and weight training. These types of training helped me to protect my lean muscles. My strength and flexibility ballooned as I got older, ironically.

3 — An effective sleep regime

My sleep pattern was not serving my goals. I used to sleep for around four to five hours. The amount of quality sleep was lower than what my body needed.

I used several techniques and improved my sleep hygiene. A cool and dark bedroom was a good starting point. Cutting noise and disturbances helped a lot to improve the quality of my sleep. Reducing screen times and blue light exposure before going to bed became part of my sleep hygiene. Supplementing with magnesium and cold showers also made a significant positive impact.

By using these techniques, my rem sleep and deep sleep times quadrupled. My wakefulness times reduced at least three times. I am back to everyday and natural life. Yes, I sleep around 8 to 9 hours a day. No more restricted four-hour sleep as I learned that my body needs at least eight hours of sleep each night.

I shared my sleep improvement regime in an article.

4 — Reducing chronic stress

When I was younger, I did not understand the harmful effects of sleep in my life. As a passionate professional in my field, I was overstressing myself to produce the best outcomes. Rather than focusing on excellence, my focus was on perfection.

Merely changing the point of view from excellence to perfection made a significant impact on managing my stress. I learned a mindful approach to life. Living in the moment is a critical success factor in preventing chronic stress.

I reduced my engagement in social media and applied a digital fasting regime. Removing toxic relationships was another excellent life improvement choice for me.

These simple, life-changing habits helped to reduce my chronic stress. When my stress level decreased, I felt more comfortable, creative, and productive. The less stress I had, the more I produced.

I shared my experience in reducing chronic stress and anxiety.

5 — Hormonal Balance

Hormones and neurotransmitters play an essential role in our health.

I had two major hormonal issues. The first one was my insulin and the second one was my elevated cortisol. An excessive and unbalanced amount of these two hormones prevented me from utilizing my body fat and causing fat accumulation in my body.

Learning about these two hormones’ intricacies and balancing them with lifestyle choices significantly impacted my health and fitness.

When I managed my insulin using fasting and reducing carbs, I noticed increased fat burning.

When I reduced my elevated cortisol level to an optimal state helped me feel happier and function better. Balanced cortisol also helped me tap into my belly fat as an energy source and reduce overall fat accumulation in my body. It was an excellent start to my fitness journey.

I shared my experience of balancing my insulin and cortisol in these articles:

Conclusions

The powerful quote “Life Is C Between B And D” by Jean-Paul Satre inspired me to discover my C.

Getting rid of toxins using natural methods boosted my immune system and solved my digestive issues like a leaky gut. In addition, giving up smoking and alcohol consumption added extra pleasure to my life.

The above-mentioned five lifestyle changes helped me maintain a happier, healthier, and more successful life. I am delighted to find my secret C in life.

Thank you for reading my perspectives.
