Life Is A Series of Experiments

So treat it accordingly

It’s an interesting phrase, is it not?

One of the most complex things we come into contact with on a daily basis, a substance we don’t truly comprehend the meaning of yet when stripped of the unnecessary noise and boiled down to an expression we can grasp, is simply a series of experiments.

What is an experiment? — The definition of an experiment is a scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis, or demonstrate a known fact.

We want to determine something.

Looking at life through the lens of experiments might seem absurd but provides a different approach to navigating through the waters of our existence in a way we can understand.

Take for example my online creator journey. A daunting task when taken at face value, it requires an intrinsic drive to create as opposed to consuming; to stray from the more traditional path of ‘work’ we are taught is the correct and stable way to earn a living in this world; in addition to overcoming the lack of engagement, we experience initially in the hopes we might one day be able to do this full time.

Content creation does toy with your emotions.

Now if we were to look at it as an experiment, well then we become bound by different rules. We attempt to see through the cloud of emotions to assess if this path is attainable, rather than build a wall of emotional reasons we have to overcome. Instead of sitting on the fence, it presents a reason to say.

Sure I’ll give it a go.

Granted this could be perceived as just a mindset change and in many ways, it is, but I really do believe that this brings about clarity to those who sit endlessly on their fence. It shows us we don’t have to be scared of the unknown because by treating life as a series of experiments what we are seeking is clarity.
