life does get the best of us sometimes. How many times shit just makes you want to throw in the towel? We all face challenges that can knock us down and leave us feeling defeated. Don’t fear, it’s not about never facing the problem or the actual problem itself, it’s about how we respond to it. Yeah, our parents have told us many many times but, it can be hard most often then none. The key to success is learning how to bounce back stronger, and more resilient.

Here are 5 strategies for overcoming adversity and bouncing back

1.Taking accountability and letting go of what went wrong

Here is the first step to all salvation. The first step towards overcoming adversity is taking full accountability for our actions and the situation we are in. Whewwwww this is a hard one. Sometimes, we really have to be real with ourselves. Blaming others or making excuses will not help us move forward at all. Instead, we need to take accountability for our mistakes, learn from them, and let go of what went wrong. Can’t move forward holding on to the old things that don’t favor us. Never will it work.

However, people choose to re-invent the wheel. This allows us to focus our energy on solutions rather than dwelling on the past.

2. Building Faith in Self

Don’t forget you are always more than meets the eye. If God is the source, or universe, or whatever you believe in; we see exactly that. When the chips are down, it’s important to have faith in ourselves and our abilities. Why did we go through all that learning, and training to be mediocre? We need to remind ourselves of our past success and focus on our strengths.

Like Mufusa said in the Lion King " Remember who you are". This is so healthy for you and your mind. Building self-confidence will help us push through difficulties and stay focused on our goals.

3. Come up with a Game Plan

Now we are on to step 3. We’re almost there people. Once we’ve taken accountability and built our confidence, it’s time to come up with a game plan. This is needed for everything. Gotta know what we are doing in life. The plan should include clear goals along with specific steps to achieve those goals. Gotta know what’s going on out there in the field, and you have to know what you are doing in the field.

Breaking down our goals into manageable tasks and focusing on one thing at a time will make them seem less overwhelming and you’ll breeze through your obstacles effortlessly.

4. Learn and Train for Mastery

We have our thinking caps on now, and we are now training to show the world we will be badasses. To succeed in any area, we must continually improve and train. Long nights, cutting out bad habits, replacing them with good ones. We must develop a habit of lifelong learning to constantly level up.

Practice and repetitions are also key to mastering any skill. You want to be smooth like a knife. People can’t resist someone sharp, smooth, and efficient. As we start making small improvements regularly, we can build momentum and gain confidence in our abilities.

5. Executing a plan and Showing your Mastery of the things you have learned

Here we are, guys, at the end of our journey. Ok, let me stop being mushy. The final step in overcoming adversity is executing the plan we’ve created and showing our mastery of the skills we’ve learned. It’s time to get suited - and booted. Don’t get distracted now we are too close. It’s important to stay focused and disciplined while making adjustments along the way.

Situations will pop up, and are going to try and throw us off but we’ve trained for this moment. Mindset is also critical to success at this point, so we must continue to maintain a positive outlook and keep pushing forward. Even when things get tough remember what we talked about here.

It's been a pleasure to equip you to now face your problems in the world. Overcoming adversity is not easy, but it is possible. I have faith you all, we didn't spend all this time together for nothing. By taking accountability, building faith in ourselves, coming up with a game plan, learning and training for mastery, and executing our plan with focus and determination, sorry I know it was a lot of steps. I couldn't leave you with nothing.

With all of these steps I have left you, we can successfully bounce back from any obstacle that comes our way.
