Life Goals with Kind Memories
Poetry Prompt — Day 8, 9, 10

performing acts of kindness is one of my lifetime goals I’ve made a promise to be loving and kind to each and every soul.
childhood memories are filled with acts of kindness from my dad, he’s got a giving soul he confirms there’s still hope in humanity as he shares his soul wholeheartedly for the entire world to see.
I can remember a time when I was unkind to myself memories that forced my mind into a state of anxiety those memories have since withered and faded into the ether. kindness has become a way of life it is the deed that sets my soul free being kinder to myself, and in turn spreading that kindness to others is a lifetime goal for me.
I missed a few days of these poetry prompts, so I challenged myself by combining 3 prompts into one poem. I hope it worked and I answered all Sahil Patel’s prompt questions. In case you missed the prompts, these are the topics that he presented:
Day 8: Write a poem about an act of kindness.
Day 9: If you could freeze time in one moment of your life, what would it be? Write a poem in honor of that childhood memory.
Day 10: Write a poem about the wishes you want to fulfill before you die.
It is amazing what a simple act of kindness can do for someone during their day. I had a small issue with my AC and the technician came by last Tuesday. Typically, if someone comes to my house to perform maintenance services, I will tip them because it is an act of kindness that I learned from my dad. He taught me to always be kind to the people I encounter. After the AC technician accepted the tip, he said, “you’re not only a kind person, you’re an angel.”
My childhood is filled with memories of my dad being kind to others. On many occasions, my dad mentioned that he always slipped an extra bit of money to his mechanic or anyone who helped him in some way.
In recent years, after he retired, he began planting his vegetable garden. He freely gives away much of what he grows, and each year he reaps more and more crops from his abundant sanctuary. He does these things because he is just a kind-hearted human being. Though I am not my dad, I aim to become more like him.
Recently, I made a commitment to create care packages for some of the people experiencing homelessness in the city where I live. This effort has been going extremely well, and I have decided to make it a long-term commitment. I would eventually like to form my own charity to continue performing daily acts of kindness. What I thought were just a few random encounters, has turned into a lifetime goal.
I am grateful to have my dad as an example, and I am grateful that the stars have aligned, so that I can step into my destiny.
