Every movie usually has a number of key elements, like the location, the Hero, the conflict and the resolution. If we look at movies and try to put the plot of the movie into motifs, it could look something like three symbols for a Bank, A Bag of Currency and a Prison. These would be perfect for a heist movie.

What if we could similarly represent the three motifs or symbols that play a predominant part in our lives as a symbolic display for ourselves? This could prove to be quite motivational and inspirational for us. Naturally these symbols could change over the years.

I have prepared mine, with three motifs. The bowl of food represents my love for preparing wholesome food and eating those delicious dishes. The open book represents my love for writing, stories and storytelling. The movie clapper represents, my love for cinema, that includes movies and television series.

What are your motifs and symbols for your life, that best represent you at this point in your life? Have a brainstorming session and write down a few ideas. Once you are satisfied with your choices prepare a poster or sketch of the three most significant symbols of your life.
