Life-Changing Motivation for 2022

20 Inspiring Quotes from Jim Rohn to strive to reach the max of your potential

Okay, So We’ve All Entered 2022!

Now, What Will You Do With Your Time?

It is mysterious how sometimes when you are desperately looking for answers, you come across just the thing you need. Of course, it may not be the answer — but it is a clue. It is a missing piece in your puzzle that will clear the fog and help you think and move closer to where you want to be. A YouTube video (which I’ll link below) by a channel called Motivational Stories was something like that for me. It was a compilation of snippets from Jim Rohn’s speeches.

I took the trouble of listening to that speech again to jot down the quotes that I felt were worth sharing for anyone looking for guidance or motivation. So here’s the video link, followed by some of the excerpts mentioned in it if you prefer reading through them.

Although you can just read through the quotes, I highly suggest watching the video. It will help understand the excerpts in the proper context and help drive the meaning. Also, it is incredibly inspirational and can compel you to take action on the things you’ve been putting off.

(Note: Some quotes are not exact words but re-worded for better coherence)

Here are the quotes that motivated me and are sure to get you thinking too:-

  1. We need to start doing different things under the same circumstances. Because we cannot change the circumstances, but we can change ourselves. We can change what we do.
  2. What you have at the moment you’ve attracted by the person you’ve become.
  3. We need to take responsibility for our failures. The transition from blaming the marketplace for your failure to blaming yourself (or taking responsibility) is going to be challenging. But we have to begin doing that.
  4. Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job. If you work hard on your job, you will earn a living, but if you work hard on yourself, you’ll make a fortune.
  5. Make yourself more valuable to the marketplace to achieve exponential success.
  6. Work hard on yourself to develop the skills you need. Work hard on yourself to develop the graces. All the stuff that you need.
  7. You need to get to work on the right things. Don’t get the things out there to change. Don’t try to change the seed. Don’t try to change the soil. Don’t change the sunshine. Don’t change the rain. Don’t change the mix of seasons. Let the miracle of all that is available work for you and start working on the inside. Work on your philosophy. Work on your attitude. Work on your personality. Work on your language. Work on the gift of communication. Work on all of your abilities.
  8. The expensive (or more valuable) things appear on higher shelves. If you want to get the things on the higher shelves, you have to stand on the books you read to reach higher. Every book you read, you get to stand a little higher.
  9. Success is something you attract by the person you become. It is not something you pursue, but you attract it by becoming an attractive person.
  10. Profits are better than wages.
  11. Your income is directly related to your philosophy, not the economy.
  12. Don’t search for the exotic until you’ve discovered the basics.
  13. What you become is much more valuable than what you get.
  14. Your personal development can achieve any success (financial, spiritual, social, etc.).
  15. The major question to ask on your job is not what I’m getting here, but what am I becoming here.
  16. What you become attracts — if you become cynical, you attract cynicism.
  17. Be a student, not a follower. Design your life. Be your own person.
  18. Success is not a stereotype. Instead, success is the continual unfolding of the design of your personal life and pulling it off.
  19. The epitome of success — Giving a design to your life, and you go and pull it off (you make it happen as per the design), making progress in that direction that satisfies you. And if it fails to satisfy you somewhere, you make alternative paths and change and follow better ideas.
  20. We must suffer one of two pains regardless of anything — ‘The pain of discipline’ OR ‘The pain of regret.’ The pain of discipline weighs ounces, but the pain of regret weighs tons. So better to choose discipline now rather than regret later.

I hope you get inspired and get into action to work on your personal development no matter what your age is. I hope you are encouraged to strive to achieve your potential max. And I hope this year 2022 is the year you finally have a breakthrough!
