Life Can Be Rough When You’re Never Enough
Uplifting Limericks

If you grow up thinking there’s never enough You get caught in the vortex of life being tough Chase impossible dreams Come apart at the seams Measuring your merit in material stuff
If you grow up thinking that you’re not enough You’re worthless and stupid, success you rebuff Suffer low self-esteem While you silently scream Believing your value is a speck of fluff
In the school of hard knocks life lessons we heed We operate on two emotional needs Afraid of rejection Crusade for connection Self-sabotage becomes our default, our creed
When can discard old patterns, call ego’s bluff We can surf on the smooth and handle the rough Quench our heart’s aching thirst Learn to love ourselves first Keep repeating the mantra I AM ENOUGH*
