Life After Death
A question dawned on my mind years ago. I wondered what experiencing death then hell is like for an evil person?

The Seven Deadly Sins came to mind.
I thought of selfish cold-hearted people who thrive from hurting others and are so self-absorbed in their pride and greed that they do not care about the feelings of others. People who are willing to say and do whatever it takes to have what they want. Evil people will show lust, sympathy, money, and weakness to make others feel like they care. Evil people will put you on a pedestal and make you feel on top of the world and then strip you of every ounce of money and health you have. Love is blind when it comes to evil people because you may not even notice how physically and mentally draining it is to deal with them until it’s too late. What will hell be like for people who have hate in their hearts? There is no question that pride, lust, gluttony, greed, anger or wrath, and envy can get in the way of decision-making. What will evil people experience when they die?
Hell on Earth

What if hell was your worst fear? Think about all the things you fear in life, and you must relive that experience for all eternity. For example, you fear burning or drowning. Some people fear bugs and death by suffering physically like being tortured. Some of us fear losing a loved one multiple times, so imagine having to relive that experience for all eternity in hell.
In the Bible, hell is just as factual as heaven, but my depiction of who may go to hell are people who practice the seven deadly sins and false prophets who profess the name of the Lord to gain power and control. Some false prophets manipulate people of the church congregation into believing in white supremacy and conspiracy theories. They interpret the Bible in their format and spread false prophecies to gain power and control. To be a false prophet is a form of narcissism but in the highest form. I am not saying all pastors or priests politicians are this way. Some church leaders use the Bible to control and spread hate. I have seen a video of a pastor saying whoever dresses up for Halloween will go straight to hell and into prostitution. They judge homosexuals and form a division between themselves and others, yet claim to be a congregation and want unification. It’s the highest form of hypocrisy you can ever see.
The Difference between Religion and Organized Religion
Religion is simply rituals and practices that are faith-based. Organized religion is institutional religion where belief system rituals are usually systematically arranged and established. There is more of a bureaucratic leadership structure in organized churches. What is organized religion and does the Bible support it? (compellingtruth.org)
I grew up in organized religion. I went to Pentecostal churches where they believed everything was a sin. Women were only allowed to listen to Christian music, and they could not cut their hair, and women were not allowed to wear pants because this would mean they wanted attention from men. Women had to wear long skirts, and they couldn’t wear jewelry. I also went to Catholic churches because I went to Catholic schools most of my life. I went to an Islamic Mosque when I was Muslim at 12 years old.
Throughout my experience with religion, I saw it as a business. I still believe in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. However, I do not believe in using religion to control and manipulate others. I don’t categorize my faith because I am also spiritual and pray to my ancestors for help and guidance. I also trust that the universe will give me what I give to it. We should respect Mother Nature because it is a gift and can be a curse. I thank God for peace every day. The practice of gratitude is powerful and I practice it daily.
My great-grandmother passed away when I was four years old, and I keep a photo of her in my house till this day because I call her my guardian angel. I have always felt her presence with me guiding me in the right direction. Even after she passed away, as a small child I would talk to her as if she was with me. Her nurturing energy is with me during the good times and the bad times. I use to see her in my dreams, and there are times when I would have flashbacks of what her life was like.
My grandma told me my great-grandma was dirt poor and was abused by my great-grandfather. My grandma told me that during her menopause my great-grandma closed herself in a bathroom and stabbed herself, then set herself on fire with hopes to kill herself. She went through some dark times and so have I but it has made me stronger. I love her and I kiss the photo of her sometimes when I am having a difficult day.
Reflection

I believe you keep the dead alive by what you keep with you. Maybe you have a necklace that belonged to your mother, and it was her mother’s necklace. That necklace is a symbol of love and strength from your ancestors. You still have it with you because they want you to know they are still around. I call these belongings treasures. I found my great-grandmother’s cooking pot in my grandma’s house. I cleaned it up and jumped for joy because now I can make delicious meals. Experiences like this keep your bloodline alive and are priceless.
Thank you for reading my article, I hope it made you think about life after death. :)
