Universal Powers

Leveraging The Power Of The Universe Before Sleep

Created by Distillery

Throughout the day, we have a constant stream of thoughts running through our minds. Some of these thoughts are helpful, while some of them are harmful.

All thought has vibration. We vibrate at the level of our thoughts. So if our thoughts are negative, we pulsate with the vibration of that negativity.

We are all beacons sending out vibrations and messages for the Universe to intercept and interpret. It returns to us vibrations that are like for like.

Negative vibrations yield negative results, and positive vibrations yield positive results.

The only times that we can stop thought are during meditation, and sleep. Meditation is incredibly helpful, and don’t get me wrong, I do it every day. But it’s challenging to halt all thought for very long. When we’re awake, our mind is buzzing. It gets easier with practice, but you can never stop all thought, for very long, while meditating. They always creep in, and it’s your job to blow them out again.

But sleep is a different matter all together. When we sleep, all conscious thought stops. It’s a time to restore and reset, not just our bodies but our minds as well.

The Universe, however, never stops. It never sleeps and it’s always working and churning out results for us.

Knowing this, we can therefore leverage the power of the Universe, before we fall asleep: before we stop all conscious thought.

How To Leverage The Power Of The Universe

While we lay in bed, just before sleep, it is our job to tune into positive feeling thoughts. When we leave our conscious mind to rest, it’s best to leave it in a good place.

You can use “I am” affirmations to put yourself in a good headspace.

I am loved

I am blessed

I am happy

I am safe

You can use your imagination to visualize yourself feeling happy and satisfied. Picture yourself in your ideal home, vacation spot, or driving your dream car.

Or, you can use gratitude.

Last night, when I went to bed, it was raining. I love falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof and windows.

As I lay there in my bed, I thought:

“I am grateful to be warm”

“I am grateful to be safe”

“I am grateful to be secure”

“I am grateful to be comfortable”

“I am grateful for my blankets and pillows”

“I am grateful for the roof over my head”

After a few moments, it felt beautiful and I drifted off to sleep.

And while I slept, the Universe received my vibrations of gratitude and went to work.

I slept straight through until the morning (kinda rare for me) and woke up before my alarm, feeling fresh, renewed and looking forward to the day. A nice change from waking up feeling sluggish and sleepy.

I also woke up to a very nice update in my earnings here on Medium, for which I am very grateful!

Do you go to sleep running the events of the day through your head? Or do you feel grateful for what you have? Do you use affirmations to drift off to sleep? Can you visualize your dream life and give it up to the Universe to work on while you slumber?

Try it tonight, when you go to sleep. Try and focus on something positive. Use a guided meditation, if you want. We all have the ability to think whatever thoughts we want.

Why not take advantage of of our resting mind, and leverage the power of the Universe do to the heavy lifting?
