“A live version of my game?” Carly asked, as she looked between Devon and Sky. Camille walked over with a tray and Carly’s eyes widened as she asked. “What do you mean?”
Camille wore her same uniform, but there was a design that had allowed for her to bare her breasts. She smiled at Carly as she offered her more hors d’oeuvres. Carly stared into her eyes as she took a bite of the delicate puff pastry filled with lobster.
“Life is a game, darling, don’t you agree?” Sky said as she walked over to her, took her glass and then her hand. “Come.”
Devon’s eyes were on them the entire time. Carly felt uncomfortable in a way she never had before. As if on a loop, but live, she saw Adam pounding into Candy on the screen still. She had programmed that into the game from a memory when Adam had shared with her his wildest fantasies.
“Sometimes I want not to be careful, sometimes I feel I like could just pound away, but I know that is animalistic and not how I want to be with someone I am with. I want to be gentle. But it is a fantasy,” he had said while they were making love.
“Nothing is wrong with a fantasy,” Carly had said at the time caressing his chest and smiling at him. She actually liked it rougher sometimes, so they matched each other well.
Now she was in front of Devon. She had been attracted to him from the moment she saw him. With Sky there seeming open to whatever was going to happen, Carly looked between them.
They all walked to the bedroom, and Camille followed them. Carly looked at her and wondered if she would be a part of whatever was going to happen as well?
“So you placed Adam into the game so you could play with me?” she said to Devon, intoxicated by his dark eyes.
“Don’t flatter yourself, Carly,” Devon responded, and Carly felt like she was going to swoon. “No one is holding you here. You can leave.”
She looked up at him and bit her lip. He had been looking at her mouth. Devon moved his finger over her bottom lip, Carly could not help but flick out her tongue when he did.
He smiled. She knew that he knew that she was not at all resistant to the idea of being with him. Whatever leverage she had had of being removed was lost, he looked down at her for a long time.
“It’s your game Carly. You play it however you want. But like Sky said, life is a game, darling. Some time to yourself to think? You look like you need a moment. Camille will tend to you while you decide.” Devon took Sky’s hand, and they walked out of the bedroom.
The way he had looked at her, Carly knew he was being facetious. He knew how she wanted to decide — he had all of the leverage.
