Summary

The website content calls for a collaborative initiative among writers on the platform to execute ideas that benefit each other by the end of March 2021, exemplified by two community-building projects and emphasizing the golden rule of treating others as one would like to be treated.

Abstract

The article titled "Let’s Get Relational!" on the platform encourages writers to engage in acts of mutual support by the end of March 2021. It suggests that by following the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," writers can create a synergistic community. The author, though not typically a bible quoter, finds this principle fitting for the "relational" idea proposed. Two examples of such community-driven initiatives are highlighted: one is a plan to help each other build an online community with a commitment to assist once a week, and the other is a creative challenge that weaves responses from a community of writer friends. The article emphasizes the creative agency of the writers and the personal benefits of participating in such collaborative efforts. It concludes by inviting all writers, whether tagged or not, to join the initiative, suggesting that it will be good for them.

Opinions

  • The author believes that the golden rule is a suitable framework for fostering a supportive writers' community.
  • Engaging in acts that benefit other writers is seen as both simple and personally rewarding.
  • The initiative is open to all writers, not just those who have been directly invited or tagged.
  • The article suggests that participating in this collaborative effort will have positive outcomes for all involved.
  • Creativity and individual action are highlighted as key components in the success of the community-building endeavor.

I’m the farthest thing from a bible-quoter, but the golden rule definitely sprang into my head right after I had this “relational” idea. Seems to fit.

It’s simple.

Before the end of March 2021, execute an idea on this platform intended to benefit other writers.

Here’s one example …

Ryan DeJonghe — thank you!

Here’s a second example …

Why do this ?

  • Decide that for yourself
  • Because you’re the creative
  • Because you can … do unto others as you would have them do unto you
  • Why not do this?
  • Because it’ll be good for you.

Need I say more?

If you’re not tagged, but want to participate, please do.
