Let’s Find Out Some Food Issues in Your Daily Life!
“Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate.” – Alan D. Wolfelt
Hi, My name is Wahyuni Sapri. I graduated as a chemistry major. Because chemistry is actually a general field, I learned about some ingredients in food, medicine as well as skincare, and cosmetics. Actually, I also learned a bit about some simple medical techniques, materials in big industries, etc. One Department actually supports other majors. When I finished my undergraduate thesis, I was in the same lab with people from various majors, not only chemistry such as bioengineering, biochemistry, materials, etc.
From the many fields I’ve studied, I feel like I want to dive deeper into food ingredients. Because I’m quite happy to eat even be something comforting when I’m stressed. So, I think that if I study this field I will also make myself learn and understand more about food. These are some videos that I’ve made, they are still short videos without voice-over because I don’t want to make content that is too heavy:
1 Minute Understand Nutrition Label | Food Issue Ep 1
I explain how to understand the nutrition label because there are still many who do not understand and think it can only be understood if you are a nutritionist. When in fact nutrition labels are quite easy to understand even if you are not from a related field.
Fruits and veggie for snack | Food Issue Ep 2
I often feel hungry at work. I usually buy snacks instant though for some reason I know that it contains MSG and it’s not good enough long-term. In fact, if I want to spend a little time, there are many healthy snacks that are easy and quick to make. I summarized some in the video above.
Alternative Meals to Substitute Rice | Food Issue ep 3
Because I’m from Indonesia, rice is really essential for us. Some even feel they haven’t eaten if they haven’t eaten rice even though it has been replaced with other carbohydrates. If you’re from Asia, you can relate to this. So I wanted to give some alternatives to rice but still filling and delicious.
Apart from that, rice also has its pluses and minuses, trying other carbo alternatives makes it easier for us if we want to travel to other countries.
How to Fix Salty Dish? | Food Issue Ep 4
Honestly, not a cooking expert. But I like to explore some new recipes when I’m bored. Sometimes I get a lot of things that do not fit my cooking, one of which is too salty. Maybe I’m too excited to be afraid my food will taste bland. If you are with me, don’t panic, there are many options that we can actually do to fix it.
Simple Salad Dressing Idea | Food Issue Ep 5
Salad is quite simple and easy to make and most importantly healthy. Even though it is a simple dish, there are many innovations that we can explore, either from components or dressings. In the video above I summarize some salad combinations that might suit you.
If you enjoy scrolling through Instagram more than watching YouTube, perhaps this page suits you.
If you’ve watched it already, I’d be happy if you’re willing to tell me the feedback. Honestly, I’m still learning how to make a good video and there are still many things I need to improve about it.
Lastly, I want to thank a lot the Illumination on the Youtube team. Such a wonderful idea to make this publication. As a newbie, I really feel supported.
