“Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fears.”
Hebrews 13:6

We live in a wild and wooly world. Threats, real and imagined, surround us at all times. Network and cable news both thrive on spreading fear by repeating gruesome and dramatic actions, again both real and imagined, consistently.
News magazines and newspapers both were thriving businesses that profited greatly by taking advantage of people’s desire to be a vouyer of the dastardly events shown in these media accounts.
The latter has been on a slippery slope skiing into bankruptcy because of the immediacy of the internet.
In this electronic age, more and more people are getting their news from the internet. Just think. You can get the rundown on a horrific incident anywhere in the world, many times live and in living color, from the internet on your phone.
No more waiting for the 6:00 or 11:00 news to discover what is happening. Now you can see and record the events as they are happening “live and in living color.” Recording means that you can replay them anytime you wish, too.
How do you remain or attain peace of mind with this going on? I only know what I did. I stopped watching cable and network news. I canceled my newspaper subscriptions.
If the story of the minute is a gory incident anywhere in the world, there is absolutely nothing that I can do about it. So, what do you do if you really care about the people being affected that are mentioned in the news stories?
If you care, don’t stop caring and praying for them. Nothing is more powerful than prayer. The Law of Vibration will see to it that your prayer is FELT anywhere your mind and heart are.
What about the people who are around you? Do you care about them? I find that, when I do my best to be a good person, I am more able to be of service to others.
What is the opposite of fear? The opposite of fear is faith. The Cambridge Dictionary defines faith as great trust or confidence in something or someone. This is often used about a belief in God.
If you believe that your Higher Power, your God, is everything, then you believe that your God is more powerful than the object(s) of your fears. Like the faith of a child talking about his father. “My dad can beat your dad in xxx every time.”
So, God is bigger than any storm. The meat of this is that all you must do is believe like the child talking about his father.
Thank you, God!
