Let Them Fall In Seasons
We become when we leave the ground
If only we were the same A little babe on her mom’s laps A small body carried on by any kind One to be protected, cherished, and gifted for being A creature whose future is stagnant A little play to amaze An invasive face in a world yet unknown
We would be as tedious as phlegm Life would be just time passing by With no movements to catch Nobody evolving toward eternity No progress, no genuine creation
We hate swapping skins Leaving the ground where we crawled behind Makes the mind ponders hard We miss how hideous it was When our life was theirs And we were fed and breathed inside their guts
Thus we wonder still What if we fall Who will carry us that time Are those feet strong enough to sustain us
But to grow we must lose To fly we must leave what carries us so tight We ought to move with no balance Take the chance and trust the wind
As bits of us keep falling Let’s decay in seasons Like trees, we unleave to renew As humans, we become when we leave the ground And perish as our body gets back to fertilize those coming
