Let Me 5x Your Income With This Cheat Code
I’ve been a freelancer now for almost 10 years and I’d say at least 8 of those years have been me finding my feet.
You see, as a freelancer is really is feast or famine when you’re starting out.
But it doesn’t always need to be that way.
I always knew I wanted to become a freelancer from a young age. During computer science I would always sneak onto Adobe Photoshop instead of the basic coding language they were using on Python at the time.
But that dedication towards my craft was enough to get me started, and I made my first $15 online in 2013.
Here we are 11 years later and I have just achieved my first $5,000 month as a freelancer, and it felt unbelievably good.
I sat down and analysed my situation.
“What are all the foundations I put in place to help me hit this milestone.”
Then it came to me.
My network is my net-worth.
As a designer, I have constantly surrounded myself with other designers who are better than I am.
This sometimes means hearing critiques that you don’t want to hear. And still today — I am nowhere near the best graphic designer out there, I just adopted a winners mentality and surrounded myself with better people.
This circle of people is forever evolving. At first you’ll know a handful of people who are willing to guide you, and before you know it, you have build a network of 1000+ people who are all winning in life.
How could I fail if this is my surroundings? At university I was surrounded by people who wanted to drink alcohol and party — I knew this wasn’t for me and I knew I didn’t fit in.
But look at how many people just follow the crowd because of fear of missing out. Not many can hold back, show resilience, build their future and stick to the plan.
To 5x your income you must network with people who are better than you are.
