“You have an uncanny ability for combat. You learned to shoot like a pro in weeks and took out your first mark in months. Can we clone you?” “You’re too kind Sergeant.”
“If we had more like you I’m sure we could win this war. Anyway, you are dismissed for now soldier.”
High praise, but Lenore deserved it. This was her day. The day she killed her first enemy combatant. She passed the training with flying colors, thus became a full-fledged soldier.
She progressed much quicker than the others, who resented her. She did not care. All she wanted, all she craved for, was to savor her next mark. Her next delectable human. In the battlefield no-one asks questions about blood drained bodies.
