Summary

The article suggests that one's purpose can be found in simple acts of kindness, like listening, rather than striving for grand achievements.

“Find your purpose daily and live life to the fullest and never give up.” M.D. Eger

When you think about your purpose, do you feel you should be doing more?

Well, maybe the opposite approach would be better. Do we sometimes overdo things?

My daughter’s famous line to my three-year-old grandson,

“Stop! You always do too much.”

I’m going to start living with this approach. Instead of always feeling like I need to do more or be more, I’m going to offer small gestures of hope.

  • Lending a listening ear
  • A warm embracing hug
  • A smile of encouragement
  • Taking someone’s hand first
  • Baking a special treat for someone

Giving up isn’t an option, be the ear someone might need today! Or could a journal lend you an ear today? Your secrets are always safest there.
