What a game, it just might be as good as Breath of the Wild was!

As far back as I can remember, certain video games have always left a lasting impression on me from the time I start it to the time I beat it. Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is one such game, I’m all over this game like ticks on a hound dog.

I’ve been playing this game for the last couple of days and might I add, it is good. A little rough on the start though, but good. At this present point in time, I’m 14 shrines in. Incidentally, the shrines are simple as long as you can remember to incorporate your arm powers into the puzzles.

I got stuck on a few last night so I sought out a little help, but the shrine puzzles are all challenging and very rewarding. I have yet to explore the actual chasms because at the point I’m at, I’m in no shape to combat whatever is down there.

Actually, I’m saving the chasms for the Master Sword and a few other bobbles. I’m trekking across the plains meeting up with Impa and following her into oblivion so to speak, ended up finding another shrine.

I can’t remember if I did it or not, I blacked out and woke up around a little after 6 this morning so a few hours ago at best. I like the new adventure and the turns that the game take, it is a great spin on aimless wandering.

The Skyview Towers are a great addition to the game as well, I like them from the perspective that it gives Link a great way to see the world around him and be flung 100 feet in the air.

Personally, the Great Sky Island was a bittersweet memory. But, I’m glad there were only 4 shrines there vs. the 148 on the ground. See, I had a different outlook of what to expect. But so far, the game has not faltered.

The hand abilities are awesome and really forced you to think of creative ways to get through the shrines as well as enemies, a great combo if there ever was one. I haven’t gotten too many sidequests as of yet, but I’m sure they’re coming.

I’m fighting as hard and as much as I can to get the Master Sword back, I love the weapon combos via fuse. But, I feel like the Master Sword is the only weapon worthy of being in Link’s hands.

My goals by the end of the day, are these things:

  • Get the Shrine Sensor for the Purah Pad
  • Get through as many story missions as possible to get access to the Master Sword or get as close as possible anyway.

Right now, I’m using my gaming genius i.e. my remarkable skill of being thorough to find these shrines. While not challenging to find in their own right, they can still be spotted and in some instances, can’t be reached until you are a little more proficient in your arm powers and paraglider.

Speaking of Paraglider, I’m happy to have it back because it makes air traversal very easy. You’d be amazed at how much ground you can cover using that Paraglider, it’s awesome not to mention handy.

Well, that’s about it out of me for now. But guys, this game is awesome. I’ve beaten all of the games on my PS5 so the console is unworthy of my personal attention, for right now at least until Spiderman 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Last Faith hit the town then it’s on. Again.

Right now, my goal is to beat all of my Nintendo Switch games and complete the guides on them which I’m doing at this present time.
