Leavin’ on a Jet Plane
Actually, I am lounging in the pool inspired by the jet stream above…

I Wonder…
Beautiful Blue Sky Drew my gaze upward Fluffy marshmallow jet stream way up high
Where are they heading? Home, work, vacation… who knows? So many possibilities, maybe even a wedding Are they happy, nervous, or sad? Hope they like how it goes.
Meanwhile, I watch while floating in the pool Not a care in the world Palm trees shade me to keep me cool Every day is heaven on earth sunsets cotton candy swirled
Birds serenading me Sun kissing my skin, I wonder how this can be Wind caressing my hair, I finally feel so carefree
I did it I pushed past my fears; it was scary. I do admit I let go of what the naysayers thought I chased my dreams and learned a lot
I wake up with the sun and work hard. No reason to wait for retirement, not another year marred I no longer need airplanes to escape life Each day is a vacation in paradise, free from strife
Life is so good.
Final Thoughts
It is never too late to reinvent your life. I was on autopilot for far too long and living to please others. I have no regrets. I did what I needed to do until my children were fully grown; they were always my priority. Now that they are living their lives, I can pursue my dreams, and I am doing so with gusto.
Change is undoubtedly scary, but nothing is more scary than never trying to achieve my deepest desires. So, I took the leap of faith. And, So far, I have never been happier. They say the Universe conspires, and I have seen positive results in the two months I have been here. ❤️
I am not a poet, but I get inspired in the pool. I am having fun with poetry and branching out with my writing style. I like the freedom with poetry — not as many grammatical rules as essays and articles. I love pushing myself, challenging myself, and growing.
Anyway, you are amazing, and I appreciate you. Thank you for reading and following my journey. Comment and tell me where you are from and how you feel when you fly. Flying can certainly evoke a lot of emotions.
Peace & Light, Libby
