-Leave Before He Hits Her-

Waiting on a taxi Coming round the corner Gonna leave him lonely Gonna leave him for her

Leaving while he’s drinking ‘Cuz she’s my little girl She’s the reason I keep trying She’s my whole world

There are times when he’s forgiven Times I love him strongly But for the times when he gets angry I must protect my little girl

Mothers, fathers, children, and everyone else out there- never stay in an unsafe relationship. It’s far too easy to give far too many chances, and so often people think that it will be easier to wait until the situation allows it. It’s the wrong choice. Make the effort now to get in a better situation and allow yourself to build towards a better future.

Know that you are never alone. Family, friends, shelters… They can all be a safe refuge. And as long as you are trying, you can take pride in yourself for making the choice to make a change. Struggling is not a weakness, it is being strong enough to try for more for yourself and others.

You will not be seen as less, so do not be ashamed. Be strong.
