Ainsworth also shares a deeply personal story of her grandparents' accident and the unscathed gold medallion as a testament to unwavering faith, and she invites readers to find their own narratives of trust. Learning to Trust Life Daily: 3 Ways to Find Faith in Yourself

You always have the power

Thoughts and plans have been swirling around in my mind like fairy dust spreading its magic into the air lately. On my 100-day journey exploring daily routines, habits, and creativity, this is a pivotal day.

I am taking part in a creativity course. This course has caused me to think in new and different ways. It also has helped me to trust myself and the universe more.

The subject of trust has been in my thoughts.

When I was growing up, all around me, there were stories of mistrust. It permeated the air like a thick smoke covering our days.

Even though I do not consider myself a rebel, I am. I know I decided early on that I would be in contrast to the lack of trust in life. I always sought the positive.

I am very grateful for every single thing that has happened. Those stories of people whom we should not trust helped me look beyond and find something new.

I realize that in this past year I would write two books. However, although I completed two 100-day journeys, I have not finished the books.

I now know the reasons why.

One reason is that I did not have complete trust in myself and in life to support me on this journey. I am grateful for the course and the journey I am taking now that shows me otherwise.

Another reason is I realize I love to write something fresh every time I sit down to create. I am learning to trust the universe to co-create with me every time I step into my office.

It is why I will write a new book this fall, writing fresh each day, co-creating with the universe and with all of you. I have learned that rehashing old material or creating alone is not something that I want to do.

More details will come through as I go through this journey, but I am grateful to know that it will all be in perfect timing.

Becoming accountable to all of you as my audience is something that strengthens my trust.

Today I want to share with you three ways to strengthen your faith in yourself along your creative journey:

Your Soul Came Here:

Something that helps me is to think about why my soul came to this Earth experience.

I imagine myself drawing up a contract, signing it, and then coming down to the Earth plane to experience it all. This scenario helps because it makes you realize you are here for something unique.

You came to fulfill a role and a purpose that you decided upon long ago.

It is a powerful way to look at life. In this way, you can trust yourself to find your way every day.

You may not remember what you planned to do or why you chose what you did, but it is all a beautiful, intricate web woven by the universe.

Yesterday I looked in the mirror and told myself that I was happy I came here to experience everything in life. It all has a reason to be.

How can you imagine your soul contract?

Cheer Yourself On:

Our days contain routines, habits, and to-do lists galore. Often we do not stop to say pleasant things to ourselves along the way.

We can begin to feel as if every day is just a series of things to check off a list. Cheering ourselves on in little ways throughout the day can make it more fun.

It is paramount that we congratulate ourselves for everything we do. It strengthens our trust in life and our faith in ourselves.

I cheer myself on every day by doing small little things that warm my heart.

Every morning when I turn on my laptop, I pull up my vision board. I enjoy looking at all the experiences I want to have. I look at each picture and smile.

Then, I say thank you to life and myself for putting in the effort each day.

How can you cheer yourself on and thank life for everything?

Find Stories of Faith:

We all have stories from our life that help us find faith in life and ourselves. Recalling those stories when we are taking a break can help create a stronger bond of trust.

One such story for me is when my grandparents went on a trip in their motorhome.

They had a medium-sized motorhome or RV that they loved. They had it all set up to take short trips around to different RV campsites to enjoy nature and their retirement years.

On one trip, my grandpa fell asleep at the wheel. He was tired and drifted off to sleep. That caused them to crash into a ditch.

We were so relieved that they only had minor injuries and their RV was only slightly damaged. They were able to recover quickly and also had the motorhome repaired.

What strengthens my faith is that they always had a little gold medallion in the window with a prayer on it.

That medallion stayed in place even with the crash.

I remember my grandpa telling the story and being amazed that the medallion never wavered. It showed them to trust and that everything would turn out okay.

As a child, I remember staring intently at that golden object. It held my attention, and this miracle fascinated me.

This story of trust and faith is still in my heart today. I can recall it whenever I need a boost.

What is a story of faith that can help you?

My prayer for you today is that you find ways to strengthen your trust in life and yourself. Have faith that things will work out for the best every day. The contrast and the pain we sometimes suffer fuel us to keep trying.
