Learning How To Be A Travel Vlogger: With zero creative background

We started a YouTube channel in August of 2023.

Our niche is, more or less, family travel. Although, we have started to lean into budget family travel because us broke-folk need vacations too.

It has been a roller coaster of inner thoughts. From, why are we not getting thousands of views and subscribers? to, all in good time we are still learning.

Of course, the voice that really wants to succeed has been the loudest and most impatient.

I have learned so much since I started. An easy accomplishment considering I knew absolutely nothing in the beginning.

The start

I didn’t know with our first video, to hold my phone horizontally.

I didn’t know, until almost 10 videos in, how to shoot in HD.

I didn’t realize, until nearly 15 videos, that I should add more commentary, and that it should sound good. Ughhh

Review

I went back and watched an earlier video last night. I remember making it and thinking. Yea, this is good. Excellent music choices. Beautiful flow.
