Learning Canva
Creating Book Covers

For the last few weeks, I’ve been learning Canva. It’s a creative graphics program that is web-based. They’ve got a free version to get you started, but purchasing either on a monthly or annual basis which is less expensive, the same as it is here at Medium is less frustrating. Frustrating in the sense that you are able to utilize all the keen selections offered to you during the creative process.
It’s taken me a while to learn how to use the program. Back in the old days, I used Adobe products, and those are the premier programs to use, but I can’t pay that much. Plus, the learning curve (I’ve forgotten more than I ever knew) is tremendously higher than with any other product on the market.
So, rather than dither around much more than I already had, I took the plunge and paid for a year’s worth of Canva ($119.99).
Now, I am learning one little bit by another. Every time I go to YouTube for another tutorial, I end up learning something new. The quickest way to get an answer is to Google it. My husband agrees. He is an Adobe expert and told me this morning he does the same thing.
Of the 23 or so covers I created yesterday and today, I’ve uploaded 2 of them. My husband likes the second one, and I like the first better.
Any comments?
