Learning Ability: New Music As An Amateur Violinist
There must be the first time for everything in life, to learn new things you love to do or things that seem nice to do in your life. When you try new things, you have to learn it for the first time. So, everything must be the first time to learn. And there must the first time to tell yourself you’re going to do that. Whatever you want to do and whatever that may be.
I mean, when you start something new, you learn that kind of thing for the first time, but also within the same hobby you’ve done for ages, for example playing the violin, you can learn new things, like learning vibrato, learning a piece, learning an important trick with your bow to make that particular sound to play soft or loud.
So, yesterday I decided that it was time for me to move on and start buying the music I want to play since I was a little child. Yes, it is music the professional violinist is playing. But why can’t I play it as an amateur violinist who has a very decent violin education as a child? I mean, I know I can play on a decent level, but I also know if I want to play a piece well, I have practice the ay I have been taught.
As a child, I had some issues on my mind, and that is why I didn’t think it was necessary to practice. I thought that nobody likes me and I thought: ‘Why should I practice then?!’
After my second daughter was born, I hadn’t played the violin for three years. I was too busy with my daughters. Later on, I started playing in a simple orchestra to see where I was after not playing the violin for three years. After a few years, I have been asked to step in with the orchestra I am playing with right now and I quit the other one. This orchestra is much better. We play such great works by a lot of great composers, which I love to play.
So, yes, I am still waiting for the music to arrive, but I also had other lovely work to play the violin. And I am working on that too. I made a huge list of what I want to play. For a few months, I got the joy back of playing the violin. Now, I want to practice the right way and study the music I want to play.
How is it to play great pieces as an amateur violinist?
I feel so much joy in my body since I decide I want to practice these great works for the violin and piano and the amazing and great concertos. I think it is the best decision I ever have made. To buy this new music pieces.
It is amazing to play these music pieces by those great and amazing musical composers. I love it to play it and discover my possibilities playing these music pieces and what I can do to make it sounds like it what the composer meant. I love to find out what that is, the combination of what I think and like the composer meant as what I think the composer what the player should play his music. I love to play with different sounds, dynamics and how the different fingering creates the music and what works for me, but also if my fingering is the right one in combination of what the compers meant to sound his music. I just love to play with how you should play the piece.
As there are so many different musicians who are playing the same piece, there will be different interpretations of music. How does John play the Chaconne by Bach in comparison to Sarah? That is what I love to find out and also what interpretation I have of the piece.
