Leap into the Chasm of your Creativity

In order to write confidently, you need to take a Leap of Faith

What will people think when they read my work? That would worry me a lot when I was beginning my writer’s journey. Now I write without thinking too much.

My writing is a reflection of my literary talents and of me as an individual. I do not want to write like anybody else. I admit I have people I admire in the literary field, but I want to be true to who I am as a writer.

As a writer, I want my writings to make my readers feel excited at the words which I put together on a page. I want my readers to feel enthusiastic about their craft and the ideas that they have in their minds.

We all have powerful ideas to inspire and fill our readers with adventure and thrills when they read our work. However, we are too nervous to make that “Leap of Faith”, which is the reason I included the Assassin Creed video.

In your mind there is the largest chasm of unfathomable depths, waiting to be explored. Do not go through your whole life ignoring that chasm. I had walked the edges of that chasm, till I decided that there was no time to waste.

There comes a time in the lives of literary men and literary women when a decision needs to be made, one that will change the paths of their literary careers.

One Sunday a few years ago, I decided that in order for me to truly be myself as a writer, I needed to take a leap-of-faith into that unfathomable chasm of my own creativity. The initial jump was nerve-wracking, but the plunge into my own creative mind was exhilarating. To be finally free of what I thought the world was expecting me to write. I was not going to write for “niches” or for subjects, topics which were popular and which would get me profits. I was going to write from within, staying true to my identity as a writer. I was writing to please myself, knowing that it was a definite statement of who I wanted to be as a writer.

It is your time today, to take that Leap of Faith into the limitless depths of your creativity, which will take you as a writer to the ultimate heights of your creative mind. You will be okay and you can take that from me, a writer who has taken that leap into the unknown.

You may not win the Nobel Prize for Literature or write a Bestseller, but you will be doing what you enjoy, which is to entertain, educate and enthrall your readers with your words, images, descriptions, and stories which you create.
