Leaf Life Lovingly
Saga of a sagacious leaf
A toss of the coin, A flower or a leaf, Yawning I wake up, With the first ray.
Surrounded by kin, So protected, By the wind, I feel I can win.
I sprout my, Wings green, And spine, Tiny and shiny.
I grow too fast, Too easily, Not knowing, Of tide of time.
A moment goes, Through and, I turn from green, To yellow.
The fading of my, Green life, To the frailty of, Yellow that I get.
For all the time, I stood on the twig, So erect and proud, Today my feet feel weak.
The wind blows, Much faster, Today for me, Disant moment of peril.
A strong gust and, I fly away from my, The brown beautiful, home of mine.
Never to know again, Or to touch, Never to see, My home again.
It pains somewhat, But I also see the, World wide ahead, The dotted lives.
I am flying, I think, I am free, For the first time.
The wind slows, So does my flight, And I fall again, To my plight.
I lay lifeless, On the sidewalk, Daily you walk on, Not knowing my saga.
I know of happiness, I know of pain, I know of freedom, I know of consequences.
All needs to be experienced, And yet you fear daily, The life you fear of, Speaks of it daily.
