A Poem

Lay your head down next to mine and let our minds do the work To connect us in a way our bodies never can Silent transmission of everything we ever wanted to say out loud but were too scared

Lay with me until we are one Entwined and combustible from all that smolders beneath

Don’t speak It’s just us We don’t need words to express what lies inside Let it all wash over us until we are clean

Turn your face to mine and look into my eyes while I look into your soul Then close your eyes and drift off where we will be together inside ourselves

Feel my breath on you which is my heart beating for you while I cherish this moment This one very moment where everything stood still and we held our bodies close

Lay with me for the last time because once we have this we will need no more It will remain Everything
