Laurence Fox… Witchfinder General

Last night, actor, Laurence Fox committed the gravest of all deadly sins: he made a woman look daft in public.

The women in question is Rachel C Boyle.

The incident occurred on Question Time when Mr Fox refused to allow Ms Boyle to use her female privilege. Instead of shutting up, when accused of using ‘white male privilege’ and just accepting the sociological zeitgeist of whichever guilt-trip he should be apologizing for today. Mr Fox took the opportunity to point out that his being ‘white’ (I would say and male, but men aren’t as nutty about sex/gender as women) is an immutable characteristic, (making allowance for suntans of course) and that Ms Rachel C Boyle is a racist for using his skin colour in an attempt to belittle him, and dismiss his point-of-view.

But Ms Boyle wasn’t to be stopped. And took to Twitter to bring the full weight of her privilege to bear.

“Fell out with @LozzaFox (not arsed), upset a (majority white) audience (not arsed) but called the treatment of Meghan Markle what it is- ‘racism’. Thank you to @bbcquestiontime for having me #meghanmarkle #questiontime #antiracism #callitbyitsname”

Now, just to unpack this (a little), (and in the spirit of fairness), her argument is that the treatment of Meghan Sparkle is racism. That she chooses to emphasis the ‘whiteness’ of the audience, presumably because they don’t agree with her accusation of racism, who exercised their ‘white privilege’ to exert their ‘power’ by clapping: (someone other than her).

Ergo, she is accusing the audience and Laurence Fox of racism.

Would that be fair? Or are we to read her tweet as whatever she says it is: next.

So a bit later Femi Oluwole (the anti-Brexit scaremonger) stepped in to do a bit of white-knighting, and race hustling, which offered Ms Boyle the opportunity to once more use her female privilege…

“Thank you for the support Twitter, I am appalled by the argument presented to me by this man! At no point did I call him racist, I said that his viewpoint is informed by his white privileged position- and he didn’t like it.”

She is ‘appalled’ by ‘this man!’. Yes, how dare he! humiliate a woman; when she is repeating stuff she doesn’t believe. And, is only saying it because she can’t think of a good question to ask when invited onto Question Time. What could be more embarrassing for an ‘ordinary member’ of the public, who just happens to have Dara O’Brien egging her on from the wings, (she’s not a plant folks)… it’ll be an Irish thing (they come from big families you know?)…

Yes so Rachel Boyle… who earlier in the day, had called for more racial literacy… ‘lives and breaths racism’…. and wishes a plague on Tory voters’ homes (without regard for the cultural appropriation in this witchcraft)… yes… well… Rachel is a good girl… she didn’t do nuffin… she didn’t call anyone a racist.

She was trying to help the ‘racially illiterate’ ‘white folks’ (they’re all racists in Liverpool, famous for it they are) by pointing out their ‘white privileged position’. She does this as a public service all the time.

Of course in the old days she offered her services to fat chicks and mustachioed women, but since she got that job up the Poly, as a Race and Ethnicity Researcher (rest assured such people no longer measure noses), she finds the targets of her bile somewhat limited these days (due to the HR rules).

Speaking of the old days, what Ms Boyle is doing is called gaslighting… which again is female privilege.

Oddly though she doesn’t deny Mr Fox’s charge: that she is a racist.
