Laughing Through Tears — Writing Challenge

I challenge all writers out there to create a humorous-emotional poem.

Are you up for a challenge?

Poetry challenge for medium writers

I recently saw Misbah Sheikh‘s poem and the challenge that Sheri Jacobs issued. I think that this challenge is between teachers and poets with experience.

Personally, I don’t do poems, but I saw this challenge, and it inspired me to launch a new one for myself and for all the writers who don’t usually write poems and are new to this.

So let’s challenge ourselves, have fun, and write!

I challenge you to create a humorous-emotional piece of writing that strikes the perfect balance between humor and emotion, taking your readers on a journey that will make them both laugh and feel deeply. Let your creativity run wild and see where it takes you!

I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Let’s find joy in the darkness!

Here’s my take:

Life can be tough, that’s for sure,

but laughter can help find a cure.

When things get rough and hard to bear,

Just take a moment and let out a prayer.

A little humor can go a long way.

It can brighten up even the darkest day.

So don’t be afraid to laugh and smile;

It can make the journey more worthwhile.

But life is not always rainbows and sunshine.

Sometimes it can be tough and unkind.

We face challenges and hardships along the way,

but we can overcome them and find a brighter day.

So don’t give up, don’t ever lose hope,

Keep pushing forward and learning to cope.

For in the end, it’s the journey that matters most,

And the memories we create from coast to coast.

So let’s embrace life with a smile and a tear

and cherish every moment, year after year.

I hope you liked it. Let’s have fun and try to create a funny and emotional poem. Good luck!

We need to thank Sheri Jacobs for this idea and launching the first challenge. It’s good to have a community, challenge each other, and spread love.

This challenge is for all the writers to support and encourage each other, to try and create a poem even if it’s our first time, so if your name is not tagged, I am sorry; I can’t tag everyone, but feel free to participate and don’t forget to tag me.
