They all knew it was the last day on earth, no one wanted to admit it. Everyone kept going about their daily lives as if an earth-ending meteor wasn’t about to destroy the planet. Someone had to take out the trash.
Gradually, they stopped opposing their fate. individuals began to cluster into small groups to say their goodbyes. At first, words could not be expressed. They used a raised eyebrow, a smile, or any small gesture to convey the message instead.
Eventually, they stopped the subtleties and embraced the end. They hugged, spoke of love, and forgave one another.
